My philosophy is very easy and direct – it is even the whole name of my blog! I strive to live my life and be healthy in a realistic way. We all have lives, families, jobs, school – whatever it is to you that keeps you busy! But that doesn’t mean you can’t live your best life: full of good health in a real simple way.
What I also really love to do is to make things not only real in content but real in the way they look. I very rarely “style” my food because it is wildly unrealistic. These lavish photos grab your attention, sure. But when you see the dish and decide you want to make it yourself, at least for me, I get a little bummed when mine doesn’t look as good as that picture did. And it’s because those photos don’t represent REAL food, they represent staged food.
Being healthy and losing weight doesn’t have to be time-consuming or confusing. Knowing what to buy, when to buy is great but it is how you use it that matters. Look, I am budget conscience like crazy and if I don’t have to spend money on something, then I won’t. All of the meals and recipes that I use and post on here for everyone are created with that in mind. “Gluten free flour” or “paleo diet hacks” are great and by all means, strive to achieve those nutrition goals if that is what you want. But I really want to give basic, easy and healthy recipes that WORK towards your weight loss goals without getting frustrated.
